  1. I done questions 2 and 5 for chapter 2, I will first give number 2.
The reason fear is the prevalent emotion is because of the rules and council. Most of the rules restrict people from thougths and different emotions than other fellow men. If the people are discovered acting differenet, they are to be killed. That is the reason why fear is the prevalent emotion.

  3. 2- Fear is what has been used since the dawn of time to get what we want. We use fear to controle people. All goverments on earth have laws that also have a precurssion if you disobey these laws, this is what people are scared of.

5- A.The idea that no one man is important. B.The times when technology was abundent and everyone said "I". C.A forest the government doesnt want anyone to go into, they want to keep a leash on everyone. D.The term used to describe people who do not do as the governmet sais. E.The time when all technology disapeared and people said "we".

  4. OK i forgot #5 so here it is. The Unmentionable times, the time before everyone was equal. It would be like waht we live in today. THe council believes everyone should act, think and do what everyone else does. That si the reason it is called unmentionable.

  5. 1. She was a woman with dark, glowing eyes. She had golden hair and was 17 years old. They described her as if she was the most beautiful girl they had
    ever seen.

    2. Everybody feels fear because they live in a very strict world. There are many laws that can be broken very easily. I also think the government uses fear to scare the people into doing what they want them to do.

  7. 1. Some of the traits Liberty 5-3000 carries are, their body is straight and thin as a blade of an iron. Their eyes were dark, hard and glowing.

    5. The unmentionable times. It would be similar to how we live today. The government of this place thinks everyone should be created equal. Thats why they have to use plural pronouns not personal pronouns.

  8. 3. Equality is different. He stands out from the crowd. He doesn't want to be different, he just is. He thinks about the past, himself, and Liberty. Which he is not supposed to think like that.
    2. Because Fear is the leader in the society. Fear of the council, Fear of the Truth, Fear of everything. Fear is what keeps the people in line.

  10. 1. Liberty 5-3000 was skinny bug at the same time strong, she had beautiful long golden hair. She was golden in the sunlight that's why Equality calls her the " Golden one".

    2. Equality was different from everyone of his brothers. He was different because he didn't want to be the same as everyone of his brothers.

    3. Equality thinks more of himself and feels that he has a purpose and doesn't want to live the life he's living now. He wants to be his own person.

  12. 2. Of all the emotions men can feel I think fear is the most prevalent emotion because the world they live in is a world where everybody is equal and, that if they do something wrong they will be frowned upon.

    4. This sacred word would probably have to be, "I."

    1. I also think that to Britney but I think they are all scared but just because they are equal but that they're all scared of the Council

  13. 2) The mood in chapter 2 and in the book is fear, this is because everyone is scared of the Council. They were scared of the Council because if you didn't listen to the Council they might send you to the Palace of Corrective Detention, where they would be wipe or they might be killed in the town square.

    5) The Unmentionable Times is like are time now, like how we have cars and TV. The Unmentionable Times was the time before the Great Rebirth. The Great Rebirth was when the Council got rid of all the "things" that were making are world "Evil." The Great Rebirth made the world good again and made EVERYONE equal.

  14. 2) fear is obviously the prevalent form of emotions in this passage, it is relevant to the fact that everyone is afraid of the council therefore , fear is the prevalent emotion in this form of literature in this passage.

    1) The description of the character Liberty-3000 is very beautiful (not masculine-inside joke) with a very vivid description on how equality likes her

  15. 1)They describe her as a blonde, dark eyes, body was straight, and that their looks had no fear, guilt, and no kindness.
3)Equality is different from the other men because he has curiosity unlike them. But also he wants to be free and try's to advance their technology.
