Delete1. "The walls are cracked and water runs upon them in thin threads without sound, black and glistening as blood." In this example Rand uses the color black to descrive the water on the walls. I think she's trying to describe a place that is dark and has a little amount of light.
ReplyDelete"It is dark here. The flame of the candle stands still in the air," In this example "dark" is used to describe the place they are in. "Flame" is used to describe the light the candle is giving off.
3. Eqality refers to himself as "we" because the word "I" has been taken out of their language. The council took it out because everyone is the same.

ReplyDeleteGREAT JOB JILLIAN !!! REMEMBER TO ANWSER THE WHOLE QUESTION NEXT TIME
DeleteI answered question 2 and 3, i will first give number 2.
ReplyDeleteHe is committing a sin because everyone must think the same words. Since he is thinking and writing different than others it is a sin. In the story the Council think that all must be equal, that is why it is a sin.
Now I will give my response to number 3.
He responds to himself as "we" because in the story everyone has to be equal. There can’t be me or I, only "we". The Council makes everyone equal so that is why he says "we".
#3
ReplyDeleteHe refers to himself as "we" because there wasn't the word "I" in their language. The council sort of banded it, and made everybody call themselves "we". They also didn't have names, they had numbers.
#4
In a way I would and I wouldn't want to be their friend. I would because it would be interesting to hear about their life's. I wouldn't because wouldn't want to get mixed up in the religion.
thats a really fair judgement kaitlen im so proud of u
Delete3. He refers to himself a we because he is suposed to be on with his fellow peers. He is to look the same and be as smart. He is also suposed to have the same attitude and outlook on life.
ReplyDelete4. I would be friends with equality because appears to be separated from others. He has many different thoughts on life than others. He also seems to think about things and how they are that way.
A very a good reasoning Colby, I agree with what you say. The reason is because on all the thoughts you have given.
Delete3) Equality refers to him self as "we" because in his world every one is the same. As the book says "No men but only the great WE, one indivisible and forever." So like how we say I or me, Equality would say we or use.
ReplyDelete4) I would want to be friends with Equality because he is different from everyone else in his world, He has a mind of his own, he want to known stuff much greater then him or his "brothers." He wants to learn about the "big picture" in life.

#2: He is feeling down cause he doesnt know what happens he is just quessing on everything and it is bugging him cause he wants to get everything right.
3)Equailty refers himself because where he lives at everyone is considered the same. In the book it says "No men but only the great WE, one indivisible and forever." Unlike us that say I or me, Equality and everyone else has to we.
ReplyDelete4) I would want to be friend with Equality because he sounds like a very nice person. He would also be the type of person that would help a stranger out before himself. Since he is that type of person you should be friends with him.
heyyyyy
Deleteheyyyyy is an invalid entry please try again
Delete3. Because the word "I" was banned. Everyone has to be the same, no one can be different. So everyone in the world has to replace "I" with "We".
ReplyDelete4. I would like to be friends with him. Why? Because he is different and it is always good to be different. He doesn't follow the crowd, which is good.

DeleteThat is a very a good reasoning David, I agree with what you have said.
Deletethis is really good i agree with everything you said i like it dude good job
Delete3. Equality refers to himself as "we" because the word I was taken out of the dictionary. The people in the story wants everyone to be the same. If they aren't the same they will get in trouble.
ReplyDelete4. I would want to be friends with Equality. He is different from everyone else. He doesn't want to fit in with everyone.
